Description
Summary:This paper discusses the influence of Christian belief on ethnic prejudice and nationalism in the Netherlands. The findings indicate that Christian belief has no effect on ethnic prejudice independent of authoritarianism and localism. Separate analyses of high-salient and low-salient respondents did not alter this conclusion. However, the results for both the total sample and the high-salience subsample reveal that Christian belief has a positive effect on nationalism.
