Une approche de ce passage à la lumière du symbolisme biblique et de la théologie particulière de Marc permet toutefois d’en découvrir une cohérence. La lecture qui en résulte fait apparaître comme inadéquate la définition traditionnelle de l’épisode comme «la malédiction du figuier et la purification du temple».\n4207 The pericope of Mark 11,12-25 is a crux interpretum of the second gospel, for it seems to have semantic contradictions ('He went to find some fruit ... it was not the time for figs' 11.13) and to show an irascible picture of Jesus. However, an approach to this passage in the light of the biblical symbolism and of the specific theology of Mark allows discovering its consistency. The resulting reading shows as inadequate the traditional definition of the episode as 'the curse of the fig tree and the cleansing of the temple'.\n4207 \n4207 |
