| Summary: | The Pharisee, at Luke 18,11, thanks God that he is not avaricious, unjust, adulterous. The words of Jesus and Luke, at Luke 16,14-18, describe Pharisees as avaricious, unjust and adulterous. This parallelism suggests that Luke organized his materials to emphasize, as his last comment on the moral conduct of Pharisees, the intense irony that exists between what they said and how they lived. To establish this parallelism, Luke 16,18 must be understood to go beyond the question of divorce to its true emphasis, the exemplification of adultery. Luke's intention to parallel 16,14-18 with 18,11 explains why the Lord's saying regarding divorceremarriage-adultery occurs at 16,18. Le pharisien, en Lc 18,11, remercie Dieu de n'être ni avare, ni injuste, ni adultère. Jésus, en Lc 16,14-18, décrit les pharisiens comme avares, injustes et adultères.
