The Vulgate contains some mistakes that to-day's editors do not correct or delay in correcting. So in the ordeal for adultery (Nb 5,31), ïš does not refer to the husband but to the presumed accomplice of the adultery. In the parable of the good Samaritan, Jesus does not ask: "Who was the neighbour?" but "Who behaved as a neighbour?" (Lk 10,36). | ||
