Matthew shortened the OT passage in view of the gospel context, and the quotation led him to slightly adjusting that context. The Greek translation used here in Matthew is a revised LXX, not created by the evangelist but found by him. The revision was meant to make the Greek agree more closely with the Hebrew, to reinforce the parallelism of Isa. 9:1, and to stress some elements of its content. La citation d'Is. 8,23 à 9,1 dans Matt. 4,15-16, provient d'un texte continu. Matthieu a raccourci ce passage de l'A.T. en tenant compte du contexte dans l'Evangile, et la citation l'a conduit à légèrement modifier ce contexte. La version grecque, en Matthieu, est une révision de LXX, non pas créée par l'Évangéliste, mais trouvée telle quelle par lui. Cette révision avait pour but de suivre l'hébreu de plus près, de renforcer le parallélisme dans Is. 9,1 et d'en faire ressortir certains éléments. |
