The chronological indication in Ez 24, 1-2 does not match with the chronological order of the Book of Ezekiel, but it has a literary meaning with reference to 2 Kings 25, destruction of the Temple. 2 Kings 25 is linked to the construction presented in 1 Kings 6-8, and theses chapters are linked to Ez 40 ff. The chronological indication of 2 Kings 25, 27 adopting the order of Ezekiel, confirms the relations between the two redactions. |
