| Summary: | Grâce à un examen approfondi et méticuleux, il est possible d'offrir, après un demi-siècle de recherches, une lecture tout à fait acceptable de l'inscription de la stèle que Bar-Hadad, roi d'Aram, dédia à Melqart. Ce Bar-Hadad, contemporain de Zakkur de Hama et de Bar-Hadad III de Damas, s'insère dans la dynastie des rois d'Arpad -Bît-(A)Gusi, entre deux 'Attarsumki, circa 800 et début du VIIIe siècle. Thanks to a thorough and careful examination, it is possible, after a half-century of research, to offer a quite acceptable reading of the inscription on the stele which Bar-Hadad, king of Arpad, dedicated to Melqart. This Bar-Hadad, a contemporary of Zakkur and of Bar-Hadad III of Damascus, belongs to the dynasty of kings of Arpad-Bît-(A)Guši, between two 'Attarsumki, circa 800 and the beginning of the VIIIth century. |
