Elle doit être plus ou moins contemporaine de l'anse de cratère gravée avant cuisson de gauche à droite, attestant ainsi les deux directions d'écriture à Sarepta à la fin du Bronze Récent. A jug handle from Sarepta, published in the section on marks, was inscribed after firing. The inscription was written most probably from right to left in the short alphabetic cuneiform script. Its date is to be lowered to the second half of the thirteenth century. It must be more or less contemporary with the Sarepta crater handle, which was inscribed before firing from left to right. |
