Ces termes et d'autres traits en relation à la vocation du scribe hébreu confirment le lien entre le monde du sage biblique et celui de l'école égyptienne. Il semble raisonnable de supposer que les premières écoles en Israël étaient inspirées d'un prototype égyptien, et que le livre des Proverbes servait de manuel. The question is: were there actually schools in Israel during the Biblical period? The issue is approached from the perspective of terminology. The vocabulary of the Biblical sages contains semantic equivalents of terms normally found in writings associated with Egyptian schools. These terms and others features dealing with the vocation of the Hebrew scribe confirm the existence of a link between the world of the Hebrew sage and the Egyptian school. It should seem reasonable to assume, therefore, that the first schools in Israel were inspired by an Egyptian prototype; and that the Book of Proverbs served as a text book in such schools. | ||
