Cette double origine de Jésus rejoint l'intention principale du quatrième évangile. The question that Pilate puts to Jesus become clear with help of the context and still more in the light of twelve other uses of pothen in the Fourth Gospel, all related to Jesus. Over and above his Galilean origin another origin is suggested, from "the Father", "who has sent him". Such an allusion to Jesus' double origin is at the heart of the Gospel of St. John. | ||
