Description
Summary:This brief essay aims at introducing and reviewing some basic concepts proposed by Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961), founder of the analytic psychology, and his main ideas in relation to religions, an issue always present along his entire collection of books. However, it main implicit concern is also to show its relevance to understand the psychological processes involved in the present expansion in Brazil e in several other countries, of creeds and churches with strong fundamentalist character, that have stimulated intolerance towards other creeds and the attack to values associated to republican ideas, to thought diversity, to Human Rights and/or rights claimed by ethnic, female and feminist, and LGBT+ social movements.
