Summary: | Luigi Berzano and Ole Preben Riis's edited work is the third volume in Brill's Annual Review of the Sociology of Religion series. Volume 3 is a noticeable change in direction from the first two books in the series that were unified by their common topical themes. Volume 1 (2010) focused on issues related to youth and religion, while the relationship between religion and politics became the theme for Volume 2 (2011). Volume 3, on the other hand, is devoted entirely to methodological issues in the sociology of religion with a particular interest in uncovering “new religious forms in contemporary society” (viii). |
