| Summary: | The so-called "miracle of tears or sweat", which occurred in the city of Granada in 1670 around the Virgin of the Rosary, represents a turning point in the context of its time. In addition to the usual witnesses that could require this type of process, mostly worshippers and votaries, it provides us with an interesting list of artists working at that time in the city, such as the painter Pedro Atanasio de Bocanegra, who were called to testify as experts in the field of art, in the proceeding held to clarify this happening. El llamado "milagro de las lágrimas o del sudor", ocurrido en Granada en 1670 en torno a la Virgen del Rosario, representa un punto de inflexión en el contexto de la época. Además de los testigos habituales que podía requerir este tipo de procesos, fieles o devotos, nos proporciona una interesante nómina de artistas y artífices activos en esas fechas en la ciudad, entre ellos el pintor Pedro Atanasio de Bocanegra, que fueron llamados a declarar en calidad de expertos en materia artística en el proceso de clarificación del mismo. |
