En 2012, des biblistes et théologiens ont demandé le rétablissement de cette fête liturgique, mémoire d’un évènement important de l’identité historique de Jésus-Christ. Cet article présente un dossier systématique sur cette fête, les hypothèses sur sa disparition et les enjeux de sa restauration. The feast of the Circumcision of the Lord was suppressed from the Roman Calendar in 1960 for reasons that are unclear. In 2012 a number of biblicists and theologians petitioned for the re-establishment of this liturgical feast, which recalls an important event in the historical identity of Jesus Christ. This article presents a systematical dossier about the feast, along with hypotheses regarding its suppression and the issues at stake in its restoration. |
