| Resumo: | La dignité humaine est certes liée à l’idée qu’on se fait de la personne. Le philosophe contemporain, Robert Spaemann, éclaire ce lien. La personne humaine est brièvement pour lui un individu concret, naturel, analogique, qui se dépasse. Ces notes définitoires culminent en ce que la personne humaine est une dignité inconditionnelle. Ce parcours nous permet de ressortir les caractéristiques de la dignité humaine chez Spaemann et de confronter sa vision à l’éthique contemporaine selon les différentes tendances. D’une part, la pensée spaemannienne est confortée, d’autre part, elle rencontre une opposition qui, partant des données empiriques, ne fait pas de différence entre les êtres humains et les êtres non humains, dont les animaux, pour établir la dignité. Human dignity is clearly connected to the idea of the person. The contemporary philosopher Robert Spaemann sheds light on this connection. For him, the human person is in summary a concrete, natural, analogical, self-transcending individual. These definitional notes highlight the unconditional dignity of the human person. This overview allows us to identify the characteristics of human dignity in the thought of Spaemann and to confront his vision with different trends in contemporary ethics. Spaemannian thought is strengthened by this confrontation, while also encountering an opposition that, on the basis of empirical data, refuses to distinguish between human beings and nonhuman beings, including animals, to establish the criteria of dignity. |
