Summary: | This article has been written in two perspectives: first of all in commemoration of Gerhardus van der Leeuw (born a hundred years ago, 1890), a well-known liturgist promoting the renewal of liturgy and worship in the Netherlands; secondly out of the situation of Christian people in the German Democratic Republic after the border from East to West had been opened up. Parting from this point of view the author establishes very important ways for what will be necessary for the very traditional (or modernistic) manner and atmosphere of services within his regional Church as well as in the community of all Protestant Churches. |
