Description
Summary:In memory of the year of birth of Karl Barth (born 1886) the author investigates the position of worship within the theology of the most important dogmatist: at first a deeply founded aversion against the contemporary liturgical movements of the twenties and thirties is to be remarked. Very consequently Barth estimates the graceful action of God being the foundation of human faith to which worship has to correspond as act of obedience. Therefore its form, language, music, time and place derive from this "second order". By this way B. gains surprisingly extensive perspectives on worship, its shape and form.
