Description
Summary:The author has noticed that among the writers of New Testament only Luke quotes expressly from the psalter of the Old Testament and also mentions it as formula for the liturgy (of his congregation?), especially that he uses the texts of the psalms as the word of the Lord and as prayer of the congregation. In this way Luke is the earliest witness for the fact the christian prayer is adopting and even developing the text of the biblical psalms. By examining the canticles of Luke the author concludes that Lukes gave impulses for a non biblical poetry, too.
