Summary: | By understanding worship as process of signs in a semiotic view the author succeeds in explaining the change of the divine service in the dimension of syntactic, semantic and pracmatical regard: worship has been qualified by the scripture on worship by Luther (1523). The change is evident in the new structure of Holy Communion in the Reformation age. The Word of God becomes the means of salvation coming to man; a new codification of the worship elements follows consequently. By the analysis of this rearrangement Bieritz finds out new headlines for the development of worship within lutheran churches today – described as a process of literalism and verbalization; this process can only be changed by a new formulating of the rules of communication in worship. |
