Matthieu avec des caractéristiques insulaires l’associant à Cantorbéry. Sa composante lectionnaire, jusqu’ici non reconnue dans des mss d’origine ou de provenance anglaise, est partagée par des mss associés à une ancienne fondation continentale ayant des liens avec l’Angleterre. En outre, le scribe est celui d’autres manuscrits de la même période. This paper addresses aspects of a missal fragment written in England, s.x/xi, most probably at St. Augustine’s, Canterbury. It contains a text of the Passion according to St. Matthew having insular features associating it with Canterbury. Its lectionary component, hitherto undetected in early MSS. of English origin or provenance, is shared by MSS. associated with an ancient continental foundation having ties with England. Moreover, the scribe has been identified in other MSS. of the period. |
