This copy of the beginning of the 9th century in Beneventan script is close to the author in time and space. It should have been an outstanding witness, but it is not. The article easily proves it, particularly by the variant readings in the commentary of Apoc. 7,5-7. Lorsque dom R. Weber éditait le commentaire d’Ambroise Autpert sur l’Apocalypse (CC CM 27), il ignorait l’existence du ms. Benevent, Bibl. cap. 9. Ce manuscrit du début du IXe siècle en écriture bénéventaine est proche dans le temps et l’espace d’Ambroise Autpert qui fut moine et abbé de Saint-Vincent-au-Vulturne et il aurait pu être un témoin exceptionnel. Ce n’est pas le cas. L’article le montre aisément en particulier par l’étude du commentaire d’Apoc 7,5-7. |
