On montre que le commentaire tel que nous l’avons a été laissé inachevé par l’auteur (peut-être en raison de la mort de Wigbod). 3. On démontre qu’une mention négligée jusqu’ici dans un catalogue médiéval venant de Saint-Vaast, Arras, du xiie siècle, atteste la présence du commentaire. Ce manuscrit est ou bien apparenté de très près à Bruxelles, Bibl. Roy. 8654-72, ou bien est à identifier avec lui. The purpose of the present article which deals with Wigbod’s commentary on the Gospels is threefold: (1.) The relation between the three known complete manuscripts of the work is discussed, a stemma is provided. (2.) It is argued that the commentary, as we have it, was left unfinished by the author (may be because of Wigbod’s death). (3.) It is demonstrated that a hitherto neglected entry in a medieval booklist coming from 12th century Saint-Vaast, Arras bears testimony to the presence of a manuscript of the commentary: This manuscript was either a close relative to Bruxelles, Bibl. roy. 8654-72, or it is to be identified with it. Der vorliegende Aufsatz zu Wigbods Evangelienkommentar verfolgt drei Ziele: (1.) Er diskutiert das Verhältnis zwischen den drei bekannten vollständigen Handschriften des Werks und bietet ein Stemma; (2.) er argumentiert, dass der Kommentar in seiner überlieferten Form ein (vielleicht aufgrund des Todes des Verfassers) unabgeschlossenes Werk ist; (3.) er weist auf eine bisher übersehene Notiz in einem mittelalterlichen Bücherverzeichnis hin, welche das Vorliegen einer Handschrift des Kommentars in Saint-Vaast, Arras im 12. Jh. bezeugt: Der besagte Codex war entweder ein naher Verwandter von Brüssel, Bibl. roy. 8654-72, oder er ist mit dieser Handschrift zu identifizieren. |
