Le texte d’Annianus fut librement modifié pour l’édition d’Érasme, 1530, à l’aide de leçons tirées de manuscrits grecs. On continua à faire des modifications à la traduction d’Annianus dans les éditions postérieures à 1530. Scholars who wish to consult or study the Latin translation of John Chrysostom’s Homiliae in Matthaeum which was prepared by Annianus of Ceneda about 419 should refer to the editio princeps, published in Venice in 1503, or to one of the five subsequent editions which appeared before 1530. Annianus’ text was freely modified with the help of readings taken from Greek manuscripts for Erasmus’s edition of 1530. Modifications to Annianus’ translation continued to be made for editions of the work that were printed after 1530. |
