Le livre IV n’est pas nécessairement beaucoup plus ancien que le manuscrit dans lequel il se lit. Un appendice propose un résumé du contenu et les sources immédiates du texte. This article discusses the pseudo-Isidorian Sententiarum liber quartus, and its supposed manuscript tradition. Unlike sometimes thought, there is only one known manuscript of the work, the same one on which both of the modern printed editions of it are based on. It is suggested that the liber quartus is not necessarily much older than the one manuscript it is found in. An appendix offers a resumé of the contents and immediate sources of the text. |
