Fragment 99. It has been erroneously suggested that these verse may be a variant of Abaelard's Carmen ad Astralabium 655-658. In fact they are an excerpt from the love-poem Primo quasdam eligo (WIC 14627). This song forms part of a little-known poetical collection, called Carmina Florentina. By discussing this ascription I reach the following conclusions: there are no arguments contradicting the ascription to Peter Abaelard, the love-poem Primo quasdam eligo has been either written by Abaelard himself, or it was sung by him and his scholars and friends. | ||

Diese hatte man bisher irrtümlich Abaelards Carmen ad Astralabium zugeordnet. In Wirklichkeit handelt es sich jedoch um ein Exzerpt aus dem Liebeslied Primo quasdam eligo (WIC 14627), welches vollständig als achtes Gedicht in den nur wenig bekannten Carmina Florentina überliefert ist. In dem Aufsatz komme ich zu dem Ergebnis, dass die Verfasserzuweisung glaubwürdig ist. Damit besitzen wir in Primo quasdam eligo ein Liebesgedicht, das entweder Abaelard selbst gedichtet hat, oder das zumindest im Kreis seiner Schüler und Freunde bekannt war. | ||
