Summary: | Spanish teachers such as Ponce de Leon, Juan Pablo Bonet, Hervás y Panduro or Roberto Prádez, all of which taught between the 16th and the 19th centuries, are considered to be the precursors of education of deaf students in Spain. They all fought historical prejudices in seeking to develop oral communication skills in students with hearing loss. |
