There is a detailed analysis of the problem in the Courts, the chronology of the process, the great discussion between members of different leanings and the basic arguments for the abolition of the Inquisition. What was certainly a breakthrough in the attitude of tolerance met with limited success because the prevailing situation in the country prevented the establishment of religious freedom. | ||

Y se analiza con detención el problema en las Cortes, la cronología del proceso, a gran discusión entre los diputados de distintas tendencias y los argumentos básicos para la supresión del Santo Oficio. Lo que sin duda fue un gran avance en el camino de la tolerancia alcanzó un éxito limitado, pues la situación del país impedía entonces la implantación de la libertad religiosa. | ||
