| Summary: | Nowadays, the worldwide vision of technology reveals its traditional subordination to the application of science. Nevertheless, the growing technological development during the last century has pruned its scientific roots in order to become into an own entity able to satisfy human necessities with its own values. Not only the axiological definition of both disciplines is necessary, but also the definition of the binomial science-technique and its coupled role within the progress of the current society. La imagen actual más extendida de la tecnología es la visión tradicional de una disciplina supeditada a la aplicación de la ciencia. Sin embargo, el creciente desarrollo tecnológico en el último siglo ha cortado sus raíces científicas para constituirse en una entidad propia con capacidad para satisfacer con valores propios las necesidades del ser humano. Si bien es necesaria la definición axiológica de ambas disciplinas, también lo es del binomio ciencia-técnica y de su papel en el progreso de la sociedad de hoy. |
