Summary: | In this work we study the agent intellect's conception of Bernard Boedder (XIX century). He defend several thesis: the agent intellect is a potency of the human soul that activates to the possible intellect. Its job is to abstract the intellectual species from the fantasy, giving the impress species to the possible intellect. It is not formally knowledge. It have a real distinction from the possible intellect by the object, but according its nature it is disputable that it have a realor virtual distinction from it. The majority of these thesis are thomist, but thelast one is scotist. |
