Analizar la vida y obra de Eduardo Sanz y Escartín es adentrarse en el contexto vital e intelectual propio de una generación, la de los primeros sociólogos y pensadores reformistas españoles. Siguiendo el itinerario vital de nuestro autor, se sucederán ante nosotros los principales avatares de la vida española de finales del siglo XIX y comienzos del XX. El presente estudio no tiene un interés exclusivamente retrospectivo. Conocer mejor los orígenes del reformismo social español, en concreto el reformismo conservador y católico de nuestro autor,ayuda a comprender mejor el desarrollo de algunos aspectos cruciales de nuestros días. |
