| Summary: | The model of the Welfare State has been a form of socioeconomic organization considered essentially in the European societies, after World War II.It was a form to give answer to the needs of social protection of the population. She forms to give answer to the needs of social protection that she demanded the population. At the same time it supposed a form to solve the problems that the market posed. From the crisis of years 70, this model has been questioned and attacked from neoliberal positions that plead for the dismantling of the Welfare State and the restoration of a social model in which the free economy is the axis and the spine of our societies. In this article the economic, political and ideological causes would be analyzed that have originatedthe crisis of the Welfare State. Also the perspective of those authors willbe analyzed who consider that the sociocultural changes are in the base of thenecessity of the remodeling of this model. Finally, the different alternatives areexamined from the remodeling of that Welfare State: its disappearance, the call third via or the remodeling that raises the social democracy. |
