| Summary: | The basis of this paper is that ambiguity is a variable that can hinder both students and professional interpreters during simultaneous interpreting and sight translation from Spanish into Italian. Nevertheless, this problem will be solvedin different ways by different subjects. The empirical study performed is briefly summarised, after giving a short theoretical review of the main references on both ambiguity and interpreting. La hipótesis básica del trabajo es que la ambigüedad es una variable que puede crearles problemas tanto al estudiante en formación como al profesional durante una tarea de interpretación simultánea o de traducción a la vista del español al italiano, pero, seguramente serán diferentes las estrategias y la manera de solucionar dichos problemas o, incluso, el grado de percepción de los mismos. Tras facilitar un breve marco teórico de las referencias teóricas, seresume brevemente el desarrollo del trabajo empírico y sus primeros resultados. |
