We should be careful to avoid too much emphasis on individual national special cases. But how can scientific methods be used to measure such incalculable forces as religious allegiances? I suggest that we should begin by examining four groups of factors, through which the topic of religiosity, whether of Christianisation or déchristianisation, can be studied. |
