Description
Summary:Our work presents the origins of the presence of the Augustinians in the viceroyalty of Peru and their expansion through this vast territory in their apostolic, missionary and cultural activity, and their arrival in Cuzco. They evangelized the doctrine of Vilcabamba, which was the center of the Inca empire and its last enclave. We try to bring the knowledge of the figure of Fray Diego Ortiz, an Augustinian religious, considered the first martyr of the Christian Peru, and of the time in which his life developed in Andean lands (1563-1571)
