| Summary: | The term theologia crucis was certainly coined by M. Luther, nevertheless his content is based in New Testament. Luther points out and develops theologically what Paul said, for example: man cannot attaint righteousness in any degree by keeping the works of the law, but solely by grace of Christ’s cross (Rm 3:20-25). In this sense, Loyola’s contemplation of the passion and dead of Jesus aims not only the idea that Jesus is made more involved with mankind by His identifying with our trials and tribulations; Ignatius will first of all help to grasp and deepen how God is of course hidden in suffering of his Son, but at the same time is at work in all human dolor and cross as the Savior from sin, trials and dead. La expresión theologia crucis fue acuñada ciertamente por M. Lutero, pero su contenido está basado en el Nuevo Testamento. Lutero resalta y desarrolla teológicamente lo que dice Pablo, por ejemplo: no se puede hallar la justificación realizando las obras de la ley, sino solamente por la gracia que viene de la cruz de Cristo (Rm 3, 20-25). En este sentido, la contemplación de la pasión y muerte de Jesús en la espiritualidad ignaciana no tiene solo por objeto la idea de que Jesús se solidariza más con la humanidad identificándose con sus sufrimientos y tribulaciones. Ignacio quiere sobre todo ayudar a conocer y profundizar cómo Dios está sin duda escondido en el sufrimiento de su Hijo, pero al mismo tiempo está en acción en el dolor y en la cruz de todo ser humano como liberador del pecado, de las tribulaciones y de la muerte. |
