| Summary: | This article focuses on the theological controversy over the sacramentality of marriage which took place at the Reformation (Luther, Henry VIII, Calvin and Trient). The author begins with the study of the subject in the thinking of the Church Fathers and medieval theology. There are two further developments of the subject: the application of the notion of sacrament to marriage in SC 59 und possible lines for ecumenical dialogue outlined in the Document of Venice (1976). Este artículo se centra en la controversia teológica sobre la sacramentalidad del matrimonio que tuvo lugar en tiempos de la Reforma (en cuatro momentos significativos: Lutero, Enrique VIII, Calvino y Trento). Para ello, se parte del estudio del tema ya en el pensamiento de los padres de la Iglesia y de la teología medieval. Asimismo, se presentan dos desarrollos posteriores del tema: la aplicación de la noción de sacramento al matrimonio que usa SC 59 y las posibles lí neas para el diálogo ecuménico sobre esta cuestión esbozadas en el llamado Documento de Venecia (1976 |
