Summary: | This article analyzes excerpts of Erik Peterson’s work where music is related to theology, usually in connection with the communitarian singing in God’s praise that takes place during liturgy. The Petersonian reflection about this subject is presented following the scheme of the various dimensions of liturgical singing highlighted by this author: cosmic, eschatological, public-political, ecclesial communitarian and existential-spiritual dimensions. El artículo analiza diversos pasajes de la obra de Erik Peterson en los que se relaciona la música con la teología, normalmente en conexión con el canto comunitario de alabanza a Dios en la liturgia. Se presenta la reflexión petersoniana sobre este tema articulada en torno a las diversas dimensiones del mismo destacadas por este autor: dimensión cósmica, escatológica, público-política, eclesial-comunitaria y existencial-espiritual. |
