| Sumario: | There are various proposals to determine the place of composition of the Document Q. Different scholars locate it in Palestine, Jerusalem, Galilee, Syria, etc. Geographical indications, theological content or external inferences do not resolve the question. The exegetes have shown special interest in locating it in Galilee, with the objective of identifying it as the «Galilean Gospel». But this hypothesis is based on the premises of a very Hellenized Galilee and of the extended use of Greek among its population. New archaeological findings and a new appraisal of sources, nevertheless, have recently placed this assumption in doubt. If we differentiate among the traditions the document refers to, and its editing in Greek, we should conclude that Q was edited in some Greek-speaking Christian communities, possibly in Syria. But no certainty exists and one can only speculate upon its geographical location... Las propuestas para determinar el lugar de composición del Documento Q son variadas. Se ha querido ubicar en Palestina, Jerusalén, Galilea, Siria... Las indicaciones geográficas, el contenido teológico o las inferencias externas no resuelven la cuestión. Los exegetas han mostrado especial interés por ubicarlo en Galilea con el objetivo de identificarlo como el «evangelio galileo». Pero esta hipótesis se basa en las premisas de una Galilea muy helenizada y del uso extendido del griego entre su población. Los recientes hallazgos arqueológicos y la nueva valoración de las fuentes, sin embargo, han puesto estas presuposiciones en tela de juicio. Si diferenciamos entre las tradiciones que contiene y la redacción del documento en griego, debemos concluir que Q se redactó en alguna comunidad cristiana de lengua griega, posiblemente en Siria. Pero no existe certeza alguna y solo cabe especular sobre su localización geográfica. |
