| Riepilogo: | Until the Second Vatican Council the attitude of the Church and its theology towards the «world», understood as being the accumulation of temporal realities, was characterized by a sort of disregard, even hostility when envisaging the «modern world». This article takes into account the new conception of «world» used by Gaudium et Spes, and brings to the foreground the new relationship betweenthe Church and the world: recognition, acceptation, a humble attitude, dialogue and service. Hasta el Concilio Vaticano II la actitud de la Iglesia y su teología hacia el «mundo», entendido como conjunto de las realidades temporales, estaba marcado por un cierto desinterés, e incluso hostilidad cuando se trataba del «mundo moderno». Este artículo parte de la nueva visión del «mundo» que hallamos en Gaudium et Spes, y resalta la novedad de la relación de la Iglesia con el mundo: interés, aceptación, actitud humilde, diálogo y servicio. |
