| Σύνοψη: | Today it is frequently claimed that the Second Vatican Council mainly focused on ecclesiological questions. It is necessary, however, to increase our knowledge of how these new conceptions came forth, and how these ecclesiological questions are also present in documents whose theme is not primarily the Church. This article reviews the growing process of the documents of the Council, showing their ecclesiological concentration. Secondly, a summary is offered of the main characteristics that, according to the Council, describe most accurately what the Church is. Es hoy una afirmación común que el Concilio Vaticano II tuvo una orientación claramente eclesiológica ya desde su convocatoria y primeros pasos. Se necesita, sin embargo, profundizar en cómo fueron gestándose los grandes avances del Concilio en su concepción de la Iglesia, y cómo estas cuestiones afloran también en documentos que no hablan directamente de ella. Este artículo recorre el proceso de gestación de los documentos conciliares, mostrando la concentración eclesiológica que se da en ellos. En un segundo momento ofrece una síntesis de los rasgos principales que configuran la imagen de la Iglesia que emerge del Concilio. |
