Description
Summary:Contemporary assumptions about competition are analysed while the case for competitive sports building character is found to be inconclusive. Particular biblical principles that apply to competitive sport are presented before the issue of human personhood and competitive sports is discussed. In place of the secular view of competition, a more godly approach is advocated that does justice to the Christian view of persons while at the same time demonstrating the benefits of sports for personal development.
