Summary:This paper has as its objective the analysis of African sacred tradition revisiting thought as proposed on Achille Mbembe’s book África Insubmissa, (2013) present in religious effervescence movements, on post-independence context at this continent’s countries. We want to show that the author’s interpretations about paganism revenge offer a innovative vision of religion as resistance to colonialism and its contemporary surviving traces on the relations between post colonial societies and new authoritarian states, allied to Christianity.
