Description
Summary:Although the disciplinary law of the Roman Curia and of the Vatican City State has not been thoroughly studied, it ought to be further explored due to its particular nature and field of application. In fact, and with a certain amount of frequency, confusion arises among experts concerning the procedures to be followed in imposing disciplinary sanctions. Disciplinary law relating to work sub umbra Petri is addressed in this study, with particular reference to the two Regulations of the Disciplinary Commissions of the Roman Curia and of the Vatican City State. A comparison is made between the two Regulations in order to bring out the points of parallel and discrepancy, shared features and established limits, in the hope that the latter may be overcome in the future by the canonical and Vatican legislator.
