Summary:While many theories exist to explain the phenomenon of learning, one of the oldest and most supported models is Vygotsky's social constructivism. Although once a forgotten voice, many of the newer Western studies support this model. The present paper discusses social constructivism as an andragogical model for Christian educators teaching in online learning environments and offers possible frameworks and strategies for doing so.
