Summary: | In this descriptive and comparative study, the Adjective Check List (ACL) was administered to 576 staff members at 20 overseas missionary boarding schools. Participants completed the test four times, first describing themselves, then describing persons they considered to be ideal administrators, teachers, and boarding home parents. Profiles for each of the staff positions were developed through simple tabulation and averaging of scores. Scores were then factor analyzed for each of the roles and comparisons were computed between actual and ideal roles. Conclusions and suggestions were made for selection and training of candidates for staff roles at overseas boarding schools. |
