| Summary: | The Personality Research Form E and Bern Sex Inventory were administered to 37 males and 54 females planning careers in pastoral ministry. Subjects were students in 11 Protestant seminaries. It was hypothesized that male and female seminarians would have more similar profiles of motivational needs than men and women in the general population, and that they would combine masculine and feminine traits more in their personality profiles. Both hypotheses were supported. Implications were discussed for the placement and acceptance of women as pastors. |
