| Summary: | Is an “interpersonal” theology possible without a “transactional” foundation? In an editorial entitled “Welcome 'Green-Grass’ Evangelicals,” Dr. Bernard Ramm, Professor of Systematic Theology, Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Philadelphia, outlined eight criteria characterizing a new theological movement which he sees emerging from the ranks of evangelicalism. He finds them to be psychologically sophisticated and theologically interpersonal. This paper evaluates Ramm's criteria to determine whether or not they are psychologically and theologically viable. |
