| Summary: | This paper seeks to study the strategies implemented by two bishops of the second half of the 13th century, Ranieri de Volterra and Guglielmino -two brothers of the Ubertini family-, to promote the ecclesiastical career of their nephew, first a parish priest at San Gimignano, and then canon of the cathedral of Arezzo and, finally, bishop of Volterra. In the wake of studies on ecclesiastical nepotism, the goal of this investigation is to study the family dynamics through which the Ubertinis managed two important dioceses in Tuscany in Dante’s time.L’essai vise à étudier les stratégies mises en oeuvre par deux évêques de la seconde moitié du 13e s, Ranieri de Volterra et Guglielmino - deux frères de la famille des Ubertini -, pour promouvoir la carrière ecclésiastique de leur neveu, d’abord curé de San Gimignano, puis chanoine de la cathédrale d’Arezzo et, enfin, évêque de Volterra. Dans le sillage des études sur le népotisme ecclésiastique, l’objectif de cette enquête est d’étudier la dynamique familiale à travers laquelle les Ubertini ont géré deux diocèses importants en Toscane à l’époque de Dante.Dieser Artikel untersucht die Strategien, die von zwei Bischöfen Mitte des 13. Jahrhunderts, Ranieri de Volterra und Guglielmino -zwei Brüder der Familie Ubertini- angewendet wurden, um die kirchliche Karriere ihres Neffen zu fördern, zuerst Pfarrer von San Gimignano, später Domherr der Kathedrale von Arezzo und, letztendlich, Bischof von Volterra. Im Kielwasser der Studien zum kirchlichen Nepotismus soll die Familiendynamik untersucht werden, mit der die Ubertinis zwei wichtige Diözesen in der Toskana zu Zeiten Dantes geleitet haben. |
