Description
Summary:This paper examines the emergence and extent of voluntary reclusion in medieval Dalmatian communes on the basis of last wills from Zadar, ¦ibenik, Trogir, Split, and Dubrovnik as recorded by Dalmatian notaries from the mid-thirteenth to the late fifteenth century.
