| Summary: | Le chemin synodal suivi aujourd’hui par l’Église nous fait rencontrer la figure de Bartimée comme la foule qui accompagnait Jésus à Jéricho. Telle est la transformation personnelle et communautaire dont témoigne l’auteur de ces lignes, secrétaire exécutif de la CEAMA (Conférence ecclésiale de l’Amazonie) qui travaille à la mise en œuvre des propositions du Synode de l’Amazonie. Témoignage dans le cadre du Symposium « The Road to a Synodal Church: Insights and Experiences » au Campion Hall d’Oxford (23-25 mars 2022). The synodal path undertaken by the Roman Catholic Church today brings us face to face with the person of Bartimaeus, just like the crowd that was with Jesus in Jericho. It is to this personal and community transformation that the author of these lines bears witness as he works to implement the proposals of the Amazon Synod in his role as executive secretary of CEAMA (Ecclesial Conference of the Amazon).
